No game last weekend so City have had two weeks on the training ground to improve on their performance at Birmingham City, albeit with numerous players away on international duty.
Firstly on Saturday it’s the return of Steve Bruce as he brings his promotion chasing Aston Villa side to the KCOM which also includes ex-Tigers Ahmed Elmohamady, James Chester and Robert Snodgrass. We’re sure Mr Bruce will receive a warm welcome from the home support and it will be the first time James Chester has faced the Tigers since leaving 3 years ago. Niceties aside, it’s a home fixture that City really need to get something from with games running out.
Three days later it doesn’t get any easier for the Tigers as they travel to table-toppers Wolves on Tuesday night. The table after these two games could look very different, were sure Nigel Adkins would be delighted if the gap hasn’t narrowed come 10pm Tuesday.
