City signed off before the international break last weekend with another defeat to Derby. It was however a more positive performance than the 4-0 drubbing four days earlier.
To be fair Derby could have had the game sewn up before half time after Jordy De Wijs gave away a penalty and the visitors missed a couple more chances including hitting the woodwork. City then regrouped and second half produced a much more pleasing performance, scored a nice team goal and could have gone into win the game.
Disappointingly this sides’ Achilles heel struck again with a piece of sloppy defending gifting Derby a late winner. It was perhaps slightly harsh on the Tigers but if you don’t learn your lessons in this league then teams will punish you.
There is no championship football this weekend as England play Spain in their First Nations League match.

Development Review
The Development sides continue to show signs of improvement and these should hopefully be translating to wins in the near future.
Last Saturday the u18 side travelled down to Wales to take on Cardiff City. We are a young side who are still finding their way and went down 3-1 with Dan Hawkins finding the net for our side. Tomorrow they have the chance to bounce back against Queens Park Rangers at Bishop Burton College in an 11:00 kick off.
Tuesday saw the u23 side embark on the long journey to take on Bristol City. Keane Lewis-Potter was on target again for the Young Tigers as they earned a hard fought 1-1 draw. The side is next in action on Monday night when they take on Watford at the Roy West Centre in a 19:00 kick-off.
Last week we reported that there had been a change in the pricing policy of under 23 games which abolished concessions. This week we are pleased to note that free admission to games has been extended to any supporter with a match card. This is a great gesture which can save supporters £24 until the end of the season and if it results in more people backing the youngsters it has to be a good thing. Hull City Ladies
After a hard fought cup win last weekend, the Ladies return to league action on Sunday away to Blackburn Rovers.
Rovers won their only league fixture so far 9-0 against Doncaster Belles a couple of weeks back, so the Tigresses will need to raise their game against their inform opponents.
