Weekly News Update

January 20, 2018
Last week City played out a very forgetful and uneventful 0-0 draw with Reading and there is little more that can be said about the game. Whilst clean sheets are always welcome, City seem to have lost their attacking potency from the beginning of the season. You could argue Nigel Adkins is building from the back but that will require a drastic improvement when going forward in the coming games.
This weekend City can drop into the bottom 3 with defeat at Sunderland. It would be a massive wake-up call but just being near the relegation zone should be enough. With still no additions in the transfer market it is difficult to find reasons for optimism.
Here’s your update from the Trust this week….
Brand Guidelines
Last week we finally received the Branding Guidelines regarding the use of the club name from Hull City. We have been asked to provide feedback on these guidelines in time for our next scheduled meeting – 7th February.
Here is a link to the document provided by the club and here is a link to our proposed changes.
We would be delighted to hear any feedback you may have on our social media pages or via email to contact@hullcityst.com
Senior Tigers Memorabilia Day
On Thursday 8th February the Senior Tigers Club will be holding a ‘Memorabilia Day’
The Senior Tigers have asked for people to search the attic, spare bedroom, garage, etc for all items associated with the Tigers.
If you feel that you have something of interest from days gone by please contact us here and we will put you in touch. Items with a personal story (e.g. your first matchday programme ) are very welcome.
Supporters Direct Council Elections
HCST Chairman Geoff Bielby has been nominated to stand on the SD England & Wales Football Council.
This is not an ‘individual’ vote – Each England and Wales football organisation in full membership of Supporters Direct is entitled to vote. We wish Geoff well in the election.
More details on the nominees and the election process can be found here.
Development Review
The under 18 side that took on Sheffield Wednesday last Saturday at the Middlewood training group was a very young one made up of players largely from the u14, u15 and u16 squads.  The resulting 8-0 defeat was understandable and it is hoped the lads who turned out gained valuable experience.

The under 23 travelled to Huddersfield on Sunday and went down 2-1 with Will Annan scoring for City.  This was their third match in a week and the squad was again rotated.  Will Keane was again in the starting line up as part of his recovery from long term injury and was replaced by Tom Powell at half time.
The under 18 side are in action tomorrow when they take on Sheffield United at Bishop Burton College with the kick off at 11:00.  The next game for the under 23 side is on Monday when they travel down to Exeter City for a 19:00 kick off at St James Park.

The Ladies play their first home game of 2018 vs Morecambe Ladies at Hull University on Sunday 10th, kick off 2:00 p.m.
