The Trust is owned by its members, run by its members, and answers to its members. Joining gives you a vote at every AGM, a stake in every campaign, and the right to stand for election to the board.
In January 2022, Acun Ilicali bought Hull City. When the new owners sat down for their first meeting with the fanbase, the Supporters' Trust was in the room — alongside the Official Supporters Club and Senior Tigers — speaking for supporters from day one of the new era.
The previous era was gone. That was then; this is now — and look where we are. A Premier League club, four seasons on. Every campaign we run is a version of that same job — making sure the people who pay to watch this club have a meaningful say in what happens to it.
The question isn't really "why join the Trust?" — it's whether you want a say in your own club at all.
Full membership includes one £1 non-refundable share in Tigers Co-operative Limited — the legal entity behind the Trust — and one vote at every AGM. Same weight as the chairman's. That's the structural definition of co-operative ownership.
When Hull City sits down with the EFL, the FSA, the Premier League, or the new independent regulator, someone is in the room speaking for supporters. That someone is the Trust. Your subs fund the travel, the time, the briefings.
Bury. Macclesfield. Reading nearly. The clubs that survived ownership crises had organised supporter structures. The ones that didn't, didn't. The Trust exists in good times so the structure is there if and when it's needed.
Stopping the "Hull Tigers" rebrand. Safe standing at the MKM. Backing the independent regulator. Partnership with the DSA. Sponsoring a Hull City Ladies player every year for seven. None of this is abstract — it's a track record.
Premier League money brings global brand thinking, opaque finance, regulatory scrutiny, and pressure on tickets, kickoff times, and away allocations. Member-owned supporter representation matters more in the top flight, not less.
Members in Italy, Norway, Australia, the USA, and across the UK. The Trust is how Hull City stays a community — not just a brand watched on a phone in 80 countries. You become part of something older and wider than the matchday.
Directors are unpaid volunteers. No one draws a salary from the Trust. Every penny goes to the work. Here's the work:
