Sensible pricing for Hull City vs. Brighton FA cup tie

Hull City have announced the pricing and kick-off time for the FA Cup Third Round tie at home to Brighton & Hove Albion in January.

The game between two of the top four teams in the Championship has not been chosen for TV, which was never likely given the TV companies desperate need to have the traditionally “big” clubs on whenever possible, so will be a very welcome Saturday afternoon 3pm kick-off on January 9th 2016.

The clubs have agreed ticket prices of £12 for season pass-holders when bought in advance (£6 concessions) and £15 for non pass-holders and walk ups (£9 concessions). This is excellent pricing for an attractive tie between two very good sides. Money is tight in many households at this time of year and the clubs deserve credit for pricing the game to get “bums on seats”.

The two sides were also due to meet at the KC Stadium in the Championship on January 30th but as that is scheduled to be FA Cup fourth round weekend and one of these sides will now definitely progress – that game will be postponed.

Hull City have also announced on the official website that a replay, if needed, will take place on Tuesday 19th January (7.45pm KO).

The last time the two clubs met in the competition The Tigers ran out 2-1 winners in a home replay on our way to a first ever FA Cup Final. HCST would love to see Hull City supporters take advantage of the affordable pricing and fill the KC Stadium for this one!
