Hillsborough verdict delivered

Jury finds 96 who perished were “unlawfully killed”, exonerates supporters

FSF NC member Roy Bentham was pulled from pen three in the Leppings Lane end at Hillsborough by his friends that fateful day 27 years ago. He was in court this week to hear the jury’s verdict into deaths of the 96 fans who  lost their lives in the disaster. “We’d trod this long road to justice together,” he says. “Campaigned long and hard over four decades and this was the verdict we’d been longing for.” Read his account here.
