It was a weekend off for The Tigers, with Marco Silva taking his squad away to Portugal to prepare for the remaining key Premier fixtures in warmer climes.
Burnley on the other hand suffered the ignominy of being beaten at home by non-league Lincoln City in the FA Cup. A result that was the biggest upset of the round, if not the tournament.
City have no new injuries to add to their extensive list of sidelined players, which is the longest in the division.
Sean Dyche has just four players unavailable, of which Kevin Long and Johann Berg Gudmundsson may be available in time for Saturday. There should be a couple of ex-Tigers on display for the visitors, with George Boyd and Robbie Brady available, although Deam Marney is out injured. Jeff Hendrick is also unavailable due to suspension.
Both sides have taken 2 wins, 1 draw, and 2 losses from the last 5 league games. Although Burnley are a well-organised and combative side, City’s recent bogey team are yet to win away from home in the league this season. Thanks largely to their decent home form The Clarets are mid-table on 30 points.
City are narrow favourites with the bookies at 11/10.
