Grant scheme for local football clubs announced


The East Riding County Football Association, Hull Boys Sunday Football League and East Riding Girls league have announced the details of the grant scheme created with the money donated by Tigers Co-operative as part of the merger that formed the Hull City Supporters Trust.

The details of the donation were previously detailed on the site.

The scheme is open to teams affiliated to the ERCFA who play in either the Hull Boys Sunday Football League or the East Riding Girls League.

This money was specifically ear-marked to help teams or players who are struggling to meet the costs of playing football and so teams must be able to demonstrate financial hardship.

The application should specify the details of what the money will be spent on. The team will be asked to provide receipts as proof of purchase were appropriate. Examples of eligible items may include:

• To assist a player/s to purchase boots, shin pads, GK gloves if there is a genuine financial need

• Contribution to a playing kit if the team has outgrown existing kit;

• Contribution to general running costs of teams suffering financially.
